Poetry As The Year Goes By is Shannon Mazurick's first published book. It is a collection of a few of Mazurick's poems. The book is organized into four chapters and each section reflects a season. There are twelve poems per chapter, representing the twelve months in a year. The poems are categorized by season and every poem deals with an aspect of their specific season. Mazurick always had an interest in poetry. While taking poetry courses in college, she got the idea for this book. She would write about nature for class and she became inspired to continue writing poetry. The poems included in this book are for people of all ages to enjoy.

Reflective Poetry: Petals of the Heart is Mazurick's second published book. It is a collection of Mazurick's poetry. In this book, she reflects on her personal experiences, her thoughts, and her feelings. She also reflects on life, emotions, people, movies, dreams, animals, historical people, and historical events. She wrote this book to remind others to take time to reflect. Life is a gift and reflection is a part of self growth.

Catherine McAuley, the Sisters of Mercy, and the Founding of University of Saint Joseph

Catherine Elizabeth McAuley was born in Dublin, Ireland around 1778. After the loss of her parents, she became devout in her Catholic faith and devoted her life to serving those who were less fortunate. In 1824, Catherine built a large house which served as both a school and a shelter for women in need, and so began the long rich legacy and history of the House of Mercy and the Sisters of Mercy. In 1932 the Sisters of Mercy founded Saint Joseph College, now the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, Connecticut. A welcoming and inclusive enviornment, the University provides a steadfast commitment to preparing students for insightful leadership and service to others.
